Advancing Equity in Education

SCCS proudly hosted its 13th annual Undoing Institutionalized Racism (UIR) Workshop & Training—an impactful and transformative event dedicated to advancing equity in early learning spaces and beyond. The event brought together passionate educators, nonprofit leaders, and administrative professionals committed to creating more inclusive and equitable environments for children, families, and staff.

Held each May, SCCS’s signature training welcomes more than 120 participants for a powerful, expert-facilitated experience designed to move equity work from intention to meaningful, sustained action. Throughout the workshop, attendees engaged in thoughtful discussions and learning opportunities that explored the roots of systemic racism and the ways these systems continue to shape outcomes in education and society today.
