Who We Are
SCCS is the first early learning shared services consortium in Seattle, WA comprised of preschool and school age programs with an emphasis on the foundational years of 0-5. What does that mean? We are one 501(c)3 organization that operates 8 child care centers in King County, sharing administrative services in a central office. Each center maintains their own name and identity to best represent their communities served.
Sound Child Care Solutions' (SCCS) core work is to alleviate the academic and opportunity gaps between children who receive high quality education, and those who don't-primarily families of color and families experiencing financial insecurity. SCCS works alongside our community empowering educators to foster connection, collaboration, and mutual growth.
Your Dollars Your Impact
SCCS is a leader in the shared services early learning sector, equipping providers to address systemic inequities and dismantle structures that perpetuate exclusion. Through this work, we help ensure all children are set up for success—both in the classroom and beyond. Our approach is grounded in the lived experiences and expertise of families and educators, fostering meaningful, responsive collaboration that shapes our programs and services.
Investing in anti-racist early learning, BIPOC leadership development, and essential supports for educators and families is critical to building equitable, inclusive, and respectful communities. Please see the infographic below to learn more about how your support drives meaningful impact and our 2024-25 Impact Report!

Today, we are poised for exciting growth, and SCCS is actively seeking grants to advance capacity building, innovative programs and services, and technical assistance in support of teachers, children, and families throughout Seattle. Investments from funding partners have an accelerating impact on our critical work alongside our communities, and we thank you for your interest.
