Our Model

Running a high quality child care center requires a multifaceted and diverse set of skills. While child care centers must operate as a successful business, they also serve as an important partner in the intimate work of educating and nurturing children in preparation for Kindergarten and life, and providing essential supports for families.

In a consortium framework, Center Directors and teachers are able to prioritize child and family services, and the Central Office ensures that resources are used equitably and effectively among all centers. We believe that early learning consortia play a vital role in shaping the foundation for lifelong learning and success for young children.

  • Equity & Inclusion: Acknowledging and actively addressing disparities to ensure all children have equal opportunities to succeed.

  • Improving & Expanding Access: Ensuring all children, regardless of life circumstance, have access to high quality, anti-bias learning programs.

  • Enhancing Quality: Promoting high standards in ECE through leadership development, resources, and research-based practices.

  • Coordinated Services: Streamlining administrative services such as financial reporting, IT, contracts management, HR, accounts payable, liability insurance, and much more!

  • Advocacy: Shaping policies, program, and funding that benefit young children and their families.

Leading Strategic

Advancements

The SCCS shared services model empowers educators, the central office support team, and board to think more creatively and strategically about growth and development in support of our community.

Our priorities are guided by the experiences and expertise of educators and the families that inform our services.
