On June 11th, educators, current and alumni families, and community partners gathered to celebrate Sound Child Care Solutions' 20th Anniversary Luncheon. The event was a joyful and heartfelt occasion that honored two decades of service, growth, and impact while recognizing the relationships, partnerships, and shared commitment that have shaped SCCS's journey in early learning.
A special highlight of the afternoon was hearing from alumni student Leilah Spalding, alumni parent and current grandparent, Rosario Nava Rodriguez, and alumni parent Jim Na. Their personal stories brought SCCS's mission to life, illustrating the lasting impact that high-quality, culturally responsive early learning has on children and families. Their reflections served as a powerful reminder that investing in early education strengthens not only individual lives, but entire communities.
One of the most meaningful moments of the celebration was honoring SCCS Co-Founders, Diana Bender and Laura McAlister with Lifetime Achievement Awards. Their vision, innovation, and leadership planted the seeds for our organization twenty years ago and laid a strong foundation for the work we continue to do every day.
As we celebrate this important milestone, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who has contributed to SCCS's success. The support, dedication, and shared purpose of our community have made the past twenty years possible. Together, we look forward to building on this legacy and continuing to create opportunities for children, families, and educators for many years to come.
