Our Commitment to Social Justice

SCCS is excited to announce the 12th annual Undoing Institutional Racism Workshop & Training on Thursday, May 1st, 2025. This all-staff, all-day event offers collaborative learning opportunities with expert speakers in the field of education and diversity, equity, and inclusion. SCCS’s 120 staff applies learned theories and practical tools from the training and workshop to daily curriculum and family services throughout the school year. 

SCCS seeks to address three key goals at our UIR event—1. Foster inclusiveness among educators, children and families, 2. Establish opportunities for professional and organizational growth, and 3. Provide participants with the tools and knowledge to address biases and undo the inequities they see in the classroom. We look forward to strengthening trust and collaboration with staff and reaffirming a commitment to sustainable and measurable reforms in our daily work!
