Woven into the fabric of SCCS, is our celebration and appreciation of early learning professionals. As an educational organization, Teacher Appreciation Week isn't just a moment to us--it's a mindset. Aligning with the spirit of the official celebratory week, SCCS programs spent the time recognizing the dedication, passion, and impact educators have on children and families every day.

Teacher Appreciation Week also serves an important reminder of the essential role educators play, often with inadequate resources and under significant pressure. At a time where the future of funding in education is unknown, it's critical that communities rally around the education system, and speak up about injustices that threaten the ability to provide the standard of programming and services that all children deserve.

At the helm of SCCS's centers are 7 incredible Directors--Julie Bisson, Luz Casio, Gloria Hodge, Lanetria Luevano, Karina Rojas Rodriguez, Keja Taylor, and Cassie Worley. Our Board of Directors also celebrate our center staff through a gifted lunch in recognition of their ongoing commitment to Seattle's children.
